Chris Hemsworth in Mexico to host the first Buchanan’s and Cinema23-México Film Awards


Chris Hemsworth was in Mexico this past October 21st to host the Buchanan’s and Cinema23-México film Awards. Among frenzy media and fans, the Australian actor hosted the event at a Mexican Military base location known as Campo Marte (a location reserved for Presidential events). The event was closed to the media and public with an attendance of 250 guests.

Buchanan’s also launched  his TV campaign “Good or Great” with Chris Hemsworth.

 

Also to give the Awards was Mexican hot star and Actress Kate del Castillo better known her role as Teresa Mendoza in La Reina del Sur broadcasted by Telemundo. She also appeared recently on the TV series Grimm on the “La Llorona” episode, and TV series”Killer Women” just to mention a few.

Also to give the Awards, was Ana de la Reguera, better known for her role as Elisa Alvaro on the Netflix’s series “Narcos”. De la Reguera is also known for playing Sister Encarnación on Paramount’s “Nacho Libre”(2006) film.

The Awards were given to 2 members of the Film Industry in particular. Kate Del Castillo was in charge to give the Award to Francisco Gaytán for his labour rescuing and preserving  films at the UNAM, one of the most recognized Universities around the world. It occupies number 30 on the list.

The second Award was given by Ana de la Reguera to Producer Bertha Navarro for her life time as a Producer.
Navarro’s work as a producer includes Guillermo Del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone and  Cronos(1993) feature that gave Del Toro his first Award at Cannes Film Festival.
